Pre-race routine:

Went on the early side and lucked out and got a spot in a lot right across from the host hotel. Walked over to packet pickup, then back to the car. Hung out a little bit before going back to wait in the hotel.
Event warmup:

Nothing other than walking back and forth to the car and bouncing around trying to stay warm while waiting for the start.

Comments:

Wasn't sure how this was going to go, but it ended up being a pretty good race. I ran the whole first mile and then started 4:00/1:00 run/walk intervals. The hills weren't too bad. The wind was only bad on the section by Craigville Beach. I did NOT like the section along 28. I think it was worse with the snow because the coned off area was small and crumbling away in places.
What would you do differently?:

Carry water
Post race
Warm down:

Nothing other than walking around a little bit

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I think I did as well as I could have given my winter training combined with tri training.

Event comments:

I'm glad I did this race. It was a fun event for the winter. The weather wasn't as bad as it could have been for winter in New England!
