Pre-race routine:

Woke up 3AM, had alarm set for 4; coffee and granola bars; walk to transition and set up, get body marked, wonder down to beach in dark, my start time was wave 3 at 6:27AM, just light enough to see the marker bouys.

gas pains, leg cramp, really tough race

Event comments:

1st time at this distance, and only 4th triathlon, so did ok. Could have done better if feeling better, had been fighting slight URI all week.
