Swim
Comments: Swim went very well. Foudn some one to draft off of for almost the entire distance. The surf got a little choppy on the way back to shore, but otherwise was a fairly easy swim. Transition 1
Comments: No issues. Bike
Comments: Worst ride ever. I was cold getting out of the water but didn't think much of it and just pulled on my socks with my feet still wet and jumped on the bike wearing only my shorts and top. As the ride progressed I kept getting colder and colder (despite the fact that my heart rate was in the 160s). By the end of the second loop I could no longer feel my feet. I would wiggle my toes and there was no correpsonding feeling. I though about stopping several times, but really wanted to finish. What would you do differently?: Warm up. Gress appropriately. Dry my feet off. Transition 2
Comments: I got into transition and took off my shoes and my feet were pure white. At this point I was crying from the cold. Chris saw me and my lips were bright purple. He made me go see one of the EMTS who determined that i had hypotherma. They then stripped me down, wrapped me in blankets, made me drink hot water and rubbed me down for about an hour until I warmed up. I felt liek a total loser for not finishing and creid for most of the time. Run
Post race

Woke up around 5 a.m. packed up the car and drove to New Found Lake (about 30 minutes from where we were staying). Had a banana and two muffins on the drive up.
