you know you are in the show once you hit the parkway for the second time. the crowd thins tremendously. fun thing was running with my training partner Ruth and my daughter Max (11) met me at the 23 mile mark and ran me in. we crossed at the same time with our hands in the air. since I am new to this, I don't understand my overall place of 681. my chip time is lower than others above me. no idea what that means!
What would you do differently?:

cross train and stretch more. last 3 miles I did not run my training pace due to soreness in legs and neck/shoulder area. I believe that I should have finished at a 4:30.

Warm down:

ha. had 3 glasses of beer and 2 brownies

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of cross training and stretching. I trained on hills in the neighborhood. Kiawah has one tiny hill and the rest is flat. more flat training runs.
