Run
Comments: I stayed with Max and May the whole time. Rob and Pam were always close by too. It was cool to be able to run with others. Max got a ton of attention because of his costume! Imagine that! I felt really good up till mile 8.Then my legs felt slightly tired. By mile 10, my quads and right calf were all cramped up. Honestly, Max saved me those last 3 miles. I felt like just stopping and sitting down. We decided that misery loves company and that it hurt more to walk than it did to run. I couldn't imagine doing the full and having to do another loop like Pam and Rob did. They did great! My legs have NEVER been more sore than today...one day after. I am seriously walking downstairs backwards. Whats with that! What would you do differently?: Train more! Use more bodyglide! Post race
Warm down: Got some drinks. Saw my husband, kids, and in-laws. That was a nice suprise! After that, we waited in a long line to get some fruit, bagels and chips. As soon as I started eating my stomach felt off, and I had to run to the ladies room. I had planned to change and go to the BBC with everyone afterwards but I decided that I had better just go home because I felt so yucky. What limited your ability to perform faster: I didn't get in as many long runs as I had hoped for due to an ongoing ITB/piriformis type of injury. Still I didn't think I would have too many problems because I had done 2 long runs of over 2 hours in the weeks before the race. I thought that I would run at around 2:20 Considering the cramps, I am happy with the 2:25 Event comments: I would like to do this race again next year. Last updated: 2006-12-06 12:00 AM

Went to packet pick-up then had an awesome dinner at Ellen's the night before.
None. By the time I found a parking spot and used the bathroom it was 10 minutes till the start. The only reason I found everybody was because of Max's pink hair.
