Pre-race routine:

Nice dinner at Fazio's, definitely glad I got the homemade pasta. JP and I ran into a bunch of BTers at the next table!

Breakfast was coffee and oatmeal poolside (indoor pool), but wouldn't that be nice to be able to enjoy it outdoors?!
Event warmup:

We had to walk a mile to get to the sheraton, does that count? No major warm-up though.

Comments:

I felt strong during most of the race. I had my moments of "ughs" and "how much longer?" but felt comfortable most of the time! JP and I were prepared for the worst. Our last month of training was in frigid conditions, so we definitely overdressed for the bright sunny day. I was not complaining though!

I got a bolt of energy on the last mile and pushed real hard to come in at a decent time. I think JP wanted to kill me for that. Was it just me or was that last ".1 mile" not so ".1" and more like ".25"?? We got cheered along by some BTers though, so that was nice!
What would you do differently?:

I wish we didn't slack so much on the training towards the end. We were hoping for a sub 2 hour, and if we kept up our speed training we probably would have gotten there. Overall, I had a great time and it was much much better than expected!
Post race
Warm down:

A bit of walking around and trying to make our way through the crowds for some post-race food. In the end, the crowds were too much to bare and we opted for some dunkin donuts! We then met up at the British Beer Company for some drinks and lunch. Food was ok, but we made up for it with an amazing sushi dinner later!

Event comments:

The race was good, but the whole weekend was fun and what made it memorable! I would definitely do it again!

Performance: Good
Course: Very scenic, but somewhat boring at times. I'm comparing it to races I've run in major cities (NYC, Boston) so it's hard to compare with those type of crowds. But the beach views were great!
