Transition 1
Comments: Transition area is kind of long with an uphill run. Bike
Comments: the bike course was considerably harder than advertised and so the strategy I used did not serve me well. I altered my approach a little but by the time the major difference in what I was expecting and what was actually there came the dammage had been done. Transition 2
Comments: I was pretty tired once I hit T2 Run
Comments: I was pretty well spent by the time I hit the run. I had some decent moments but in general my legs were done and there was a lot of climbing on the run, which slowed me way down. I was also feeling pretty angry about the misinformation on the website and that took it's toll as well. I was able to calm down for the most part and enjoy myself but during the low points it was just one more thing to cope with. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: The race course I was expecting to find was not the race course I found. It was very disappointing. Event comments: I'm not going to dispariage this race because it is run very well, the RD is a jem and TriSport is an excellent organization. I would reccomend this race to anyone but this is a very tough race and that is not conveyed on the race website. The climbing at the end of the bike is substantial and the traffic is very heavy on much of the bike and good chunks early in the run. The run has almost no flat whatsoever. This is a tough race but if you come ready for a tough race you won't be disapointed. Last updated: 2007-01-19 12:00 AM
