Pre-race routine:

bagel, peanut butter for breakfast w/ some gatorade. set up bike and just kind of chilled in the car do to the weather COLD!!!!!

nothing really. Streched arms and legs abit and that was about it.

Comments:

First open water swim. All males were first wave, so it was ruff at the beggining. Sun was right in your eyes going to first bouy. Extreamly hard to navigate to. other than that not too bad.
What would you do differently?:

Be better prepared for an open water swim and wear a wet suit

Didn't push hard enough at all!! should have went harder, would have done better, but all well.

run harder, and get differand laces for my shoes

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not real sure how hard I should push, so I think I conserved too much. I know better for next time

pretty good set up not a huge fan of the mass start, but i delt with it
