Swim
Comments: I NEED TO KEEP WORKIN ON MY OWS!!!!!! Things are getting better but this is a place where I can really improve yet. What would you do differently?: More OWS practice Transition 1
Comments: I didn't tape my toe which I hope doesn't come back to haunt me this week. I also didn't dry my feet off which made putting on my socks difficult. What would you do differently?: I could maybe sahve a little time here if I would set up and practive my T1's Bike
Comments: The West side of the lake where the hills were I picked up a bit of a head wind. I was really in my zone during the bike. I know I lost some time on the hills and into the wind but I was very pleased with the way I marched up those hill and kept the cadence up. What would you do differently?: Keep working hard at getting faster on the bike. I was hoping for an 18 mph pace but I lost it in the wind on the hills. I still was very pleased with this effort. Also I LOVE my bike! Transition 2
Comments: Possibly could cut some time with speed laces. I walked through the transition area especially on the grassy (muddy portion) Since They said it was legal to use headphones on the run I grabbed my mp3 player. What would you do differently?: Not much Run
Comments: I was quited pleased with my pace on the run considering how hard i pressed the bike. I was very suprised when I saw I was at a sub 12 min/mile pace. What would you do differently?: I did not work on my racewalking much this last month. I need to get that more back into the mix including - INTERVAL! I might be able to drop my pace to in the 10's by the last race of the year. Post race
Warm down: Went back to my bike and finished off the Gatorade in my bottles and then watched my friend Joe finish his first tri. Talked to Emily (bikergrrl), mndiver, bierkibiner (sp), Kelly and her husband a bit and then packed up and headed for home as a dark cloud was rolling in. The food line was just too long for me. What limited your ability to perform faster: Actually not much. My pace per mile was over a minute faster this tri than my last tri fo the year last year. I would like to get the swim down a bit better and then improve my racewalking skills. Event comments: For a race as large as it is (2nd largest in the MN) it had that small race feel. I really enjoyed it and will certianly have it on the list for next year! Last updated: 2007-02-07 12:00 AM

GOt up at 5:15 to the sound of rain - yuck. After I got up and got the coffee going I looked at the radar and it was already done raining in Buffalo. Had a cup of coffee and a granola bar. Headed out for the race at 6 am.
Walked around a bit and stretched out. I did get in the water and swim a bit but with my wave being 2nd to last any warm up I got form that was long gone
