Swim
Transition 1
Comments: Pretty good transition. it was pissing with rain, there was not point to drying off. Socks were soaked as soon as I put them on and there was mud on one of them when I put them down. Had some trouble starting up the Garmin - I had forgot to set it to bike. Overall transition was very good, compared to previous war my tri top and HR strap through the swim. What would you do differently?: Not bother with the socks (when it is raining) Remember to set my computer the night before. Run with the bike. Everything else was good. Bike
Comments: They shut down the chip timing. I have no idea how I did compared to everyone else. I would get anything from 40 to 60th out of 97 What would you do differently?: Push even harder. Otherwise I think I rode very tactically and well, despite the rain. Transition 2
Comments: No transition, race called on account of lightning What would you do differently?: Ask God to not let the big booms come! Run
Comments: Cancelled. Post race
Warm down: Close to hypothermia. Couldn't warm up, took quick warm shower, but it was wet everywhere. shivered for about 30 minutes. Post race BBQ was nice, but the place was freezing. What limited your ability to perform faster: Rain and lightning. Event comments: hard to judge because of all the rain. Last updated: 2007-02-09 12:00 AM
