  • Comments: The lake had really warmed up, but the weeds were out of control. I was surprised at the strong smell/taste of the boat exhaust along the first stretch of the course. There were rumors of leeches in the water/on people after the race. I’m glad I didn't hear about this before or my mind would have been wondering more than usual, but I may have had a faster time being motivated to get the heck out of the lake. Also, the course was supposedly measured 350 meters too long. I was and still am dissapointed about not getting to finish, but the race director made the right call because the weather was getting dangerous. The awards banquet/BBQ was good, I won $40 from the random cash envelops, thanks Terry for bring this to my attention, I owe you a coffee.

  • Comments: Youth/Juniors started ahead of us, so we were unable to be in transition for a little bit. Perhaps suggest youth/juniors have a separate transition area? Pre-race meeting was too long and windy. Otherwise was great.
