Pre-race routine:

Got registered in the light rain...saw some Get Fitters out there and chatted pre-race about what has been going on with them. Ate half of my mixed berry nutri-grain bar....and headed to start.

Comments:

My first mile I was winded..started up close to the front with Ron---was fun watching the fast runners race up to the front. They were quickly out of my sight..but it was fun while it lasted:)

The first mile someone yelled out 6:40--oops..a bit quick but that may explain why I was winded alil or perhaps the fact that i took ..oh....a month off of real running. :) oops. Ok so found a good group of men that were truckign along so I hopped in with them..but left them when i realized at mile 4 i was at 29 minutes and something. Knew I would be slowing down a bit from fatigue but kept the pace consistent. Forgot to do my splits--probably because i just wanted to run and not focus on anything else. No music...it was nice to just hear myself running again.
What would you do differently?:

Park a car at the finish:) Whew that wind was chilly at the end..but the wait in line proved to be a good time to catch up with friends.

Warm down:

Waited for the buses....got a cute tshirt....and headed out to a day at the Park!

Well to quote Ron "I left it all out there" but I have alot more in my future to give...
