  • Comments: One of my favorite races every year. The course is perfect for a PR and the race is well organized. Chili after the race is always a hit, although I'm never hungry after a 10K. :)

  • Comments: Needless to say I was dissapointed in my performance today. I could say I've been training for longer distances and it wasn't long enough to catch my stride, but I know that's not true. Last year leading up to my BQ I ran this race 3 minutes faster. For now I'll chalk it up to a bad day but getting close to the 3 hr mark in Boston seems unreasonable at this point.

  • Comments: Good as usual, just question the disposable chips since they seemed to be "off" for just about everyone who had seen their time on watches and the official clock at the finish line.

  • Comments: This is a great race - this is my 3rd or 4th year participating. The course is excellent, perfect place for a PR. Weather always pulls through - running in the snow is cool, running in the rain would have been miserable. Chili at Kroger when picking up your shirt after the race was wonderful! Dana does a great job with all her races - highly recommended!!

  • Comments: The Silver Comet 10k is a good race that's been around for awhile. Eventually, these local 10k's will need to go to a rfid (chip) timing system as the times were slightly off from watch. I started my watch a few seconds later than gun, and had a 40:34 finish. The race had me at 40:35. That's a difference of only about three to four seconds.. which is not a big deal.. though it certainly could be for some people if it pushed them over peachtree cutoff times. Overall though, there is little to complain about at this race.

  • Comments: I love this race, it's such a great course! I actually got two Tshirts - one yellow and one blue. I got the last yellow small and then they brought out a huge stack of blue. I was walking back by there and trying to decide if I should switch for the blue, but they just told me to take one of each. Very cool! :) Oh - and who can forget Krispy Kreme donuts at the end - mmmmmmm.... :)

  • Comments: This was a good race. I am sometimes critical of the organizer, and for good reason. This time, I have zero complaints. She did a great job. 1200 runners is quite a few for a local level race like this. One issue that had no effect on me is porta pottys.. not enough. The line was incredibly long. This is a typical complaint that I'm not really sure has an answer. Most races have bathroom issues.

  • Comments: Fast course. Crowded start which I hate. I really wish that 10k's here in Georgia were taken a little more seriously and were chipped races. Hard to get an accurate time when you spend a miles trying to work your way around everyone. Overall, good run and time yesterday. Plus - I managed to beat the boyz I wanted to beat. :)

  • Comments: PR for a 10K! Woo-hoo! I came into this race only to get a qualifying time for the Peachtree Road Race and I came away with a time good enough to get into Time Group 1B for the PRR. Pretty damn cool if you ask me!
