Comments: Felt great, a new PB for the 10K distance. Weather really helped as it was sunny but cool so easy to keep cool. What would you do differently?: I don't think I really needed to stop at the second water station, so I think if I had continued, I would have broken the 56 minute mark. ![]() Post race
Warm down: A little stretching. A long line up for chip removal and getting water. Was a bit cold at times due to the wind off the lake. Got Bananas and a couple of sports drinks also. What limited your ability to perform faster: Second water station could have been missed. Also, Achilles injury was in the back of my mind, so didn't want to over do it. Wife dropped me off about 500 Meters from the start area. Walked briskly to the bag check area and Jogged a little too to loosen up. Arrived at the bag check about 45 minutes before the race start.
Met up with RR pals and gabbed for the time, while also stretching lightly (particularly the Achilles area).
Had a drink of Gatorade about 15 minutes prior to start.
