Run
Comments: I started off way to far back in the pack for my pace. I pretty much was flying past people for the first 6 miles of the race. I got stuck right at the starting line and couldn't get around people. My right hamstring started to tighten up on the last 1.5 miles, so i had to slow down. If i would have started closer to the front i know i would have run close to 01:40:00. What would you do differently?: Start way up front. Also, get more endurance training in and longer runs. The race was my longest run in months. The pace i ran was very comfortable, i could run it forever if my legs had more endurance. My breathing wasn't labored or anything. I could have had a conversation for most of the race if i wanted to. Post race
Warm down: Stretching and a carls JR cheeseburger!! It was good!! What limited your ability to perform faster: Getting stuck in the back of the pack and having to weave back and fourth for most of the race. I won't do that again, i'm starting up front. Not enough endurance, could run much faster with a few more long runs before the race. Event comments: Great race!! I will do it again next year for sure. Last updated: 2007-03-14 12:00 AM
