  • Comments: Holy cow, this race does a fantastic job. So much attention to detail. So much local enthusiasm for this race. There are so many areas of the race I could give good reviews on but I'll just give it all two big thumbs up. I'd definitely do this race again.

  • Comments: I just wanted to be able to say that I ran a marathon. I debated whether to do a half or full marathon. I was extremely nervous whether I would finish or not. Not only did I finish but I am very ready to do another one next year!!!

  • Comments: I noticed they changed their finisher medals this year. While I like the new medals, I will be honest and say that the medals from years prior were much more unique and stunning... just a little nitpick.

  • Comments: Overall with the 40 degree temps, rain, lighting, wind, hail, injuries and becoming hypothermic, this was an awesome race. People running the race were great. The course itself was good too there was nothing to complain about. The volunteers were the best I have ever seen. They were all out there for the entire time in the miserable weather conditions getting soaked. I never went by one who was not smiling or giving some words of encouragement. They were super!!!! The ladies in the massage tent I just cant say enough. I didn't see one of them doing a massage but were assisting people ensuring they okay. If I had to complain about anything about the race would be the finish line. With the weather being like it was I wish they would have taken everything inside somewhere so people could get out of the rain and thaw out.

  • Comments: This race has THE best volunteers of any race I've ever done. It seemed like every time you started to think, "Hm, water would be nice!" there was a water station. And, you have to be seriously dedicated to go and stand out there in weather like that. The medical staff were tremendous and wonderful and they made my day by not making me feel daft for asking for help, because I probably would not have made good choices had I not stopped there. I would definitely do this race again.

  • Comments: A top notch event. There is a reason it is one of the top 10 Marathons in America right here in the middle of Oklahoma. Plan on doing it again, if not the relay then stepping up to do the Half Marathon in 2011.

  • Comments: Great race with water stations every 1-2 miles. They had both powerade and water at all the stops. Volunteers cheered loud. Very flat course with a couple tough hills/overpasses. Great course layout and sponsorship!

  • Comments: There was only one item I did not like about this race which causes me to not want to run it again is the start. All races [except the wheelchair] start at the same time. I spent the first two miles dodging walkers who were doing the 5k. I just couldn't believe that the start of a race could be so disorganized. What makes me feel bad is that the event was created to honor those victims and families.
