At transition 0600. Forgot goggle anti-fog managed to buy some. Set up bike towel and shoes, asked by official to keep stuff tight inside front wheel of bike. Ankle strap on left ankle (opp chain side easier to read).

Comments:

Not bad. Only second time on bike after bad fall on first outing ribs were still sore and made me nervous.
What would you do differently?:

Get braver
Get an aero bottle (too scared to grab bottle and drink on the move in a race).
Transition 2
  • 01m 38s
Comments:

Fingers were numb after getting off bike. Must have been a white knuckle ride and I didn't even realize it. Made changing shoes awkward.
What would you do differently?:

Practice, practice, practice
Run
  • 20m 55s
  • 3 miles
  • 06m 58s  min/mile
Comments:

This went very well. Legs felt like jelly and felt like I was just managing my marathon speed. I was really encouraged to find I ran sub 7:00 miles
My first ever triathlon and a feel my way, C race. I was really happy (surprised) to find myself in AG top 10.
Post race
Warm down:

OH dear, too excited to stretch.

Event comments:

Great event. This was my first triathlon and I can't wait to do more.
