  • 328 yards
  • 01m 31s / 100 yards
Comments:

first of all, I hate pool swim tris.

I decided on no flip turns. no one passed me and I didn't pass anyone. I did get stuck behind a gal climbing out of the Y and down into the T area, but I needed to slow down or I would have busted my ass on the slick mats!

good swim, for a pool swim tri!

Transition 1
  • 01m 36s
Comments:

everything was already wet, even though I had it covered. so, I put on my wet socks and bike shoes, found my glasses and helmet and headed out to the mount line. my glasses fogged up so bad that I couldn't even see the line!!! a very nice volunteer 'talked' me to the line and I was off...well, I started coasting down the city streets. soon after, my sight was clear...just intime to go across the river bridge.
What would you do differently?:

forget the socks...

Comments:

wow! the weather really showed its ass here! going out it began to rain hard and it was slightly uphill. I passed several people, especially on the hills. one dude on a yellow bike passed me. on the way back it began to hail! I just kept laughing!!!
What would you do differently?:

ah, let's see, change the weather!
Transition 2

Comments:

my hands were cold and I couldn't tie my shoes!!!
What would you do differently?:

Run

  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 11s  min/mile
Comments:

I took it real ez coming down the hill at first. I was on new shoes and I was NOT going to fall! it was not raining as hard on the run, but there were some big puddles. I felt I was running about a 10k pace and I actually passed some people.

Event comments:
