Run
Comments: Realized as i saw the finish line that i was feeling petty good and could have gone for a few more miles....i think this means that i need to push myself more..... HR goal was 152 but ended up being 159 most of the race - i suspect a combination of a "real" race and a few more inclines than my regular run contributed to this Hydration was to much of an issue but my first real drink of the day was at the 2 mile marker.... Overall pace was great for me (only started running 6 weeks ago at a 15+ pace) Met my personnal goal and never stopped running - may have slowed down on the hills but never walked What would you do differently?: Hydrate.. Push a little harder...i'm going to adjust my run training a little to better gauge how far i can push myself for these distances.. Post race
Warm down: walk back to car.... What limited your ability to perform faster: time/training - only started exercising couple of months ago so this is all uncharted waters for me.... Event comments: Not a great time but as my first race ever i ran my plan and completed the race....thats all i was looking to do.... Next year lookout..... Last updated: 2007-04-22 12:00 AM

First Race ever in my life so no routine as yet....
up by 6:30 - hauled boxes & furniture from the basement to setup rummage sale in front yard....
hit the road way late @ 7:30 - realized as i got in the car that i hadn't eaten yet so grabbed a banana - unfortunatly didn't realize until 10 mins into the drive that i also hadn't drunk - my plan to hydrate in the car failed miserably...
also realized that packet pickup closed 30 mins ealy than i thought so it was foot down all the way into madison
Turned out fine - got a good parking spot by randall - had a nice walmup walk to the packet pickup spot - shuttle to the start line - arrived with what ended up being an hour to spare....
