Learn to swim straight ;-)

Includes transition. Computer said 19:19 and 31+ average; I took all too long in transition, was just taking my time and watching how fast others were in and out.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe practice transition and decide how to lay out my equipment. Focus on my on transition.

Good run, could have went harder but wasn't quite sure of the distance.
What would you do differently?:

Walk/run course previously; know when you can push. Could have knocked 1 minute off easily.

Warm down:

None; waited for wife to finish at the end.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Preparation for event --> first event, not used to starting something new with someone else (the wife). Could have cut 4 minutes easily and hit top 10%. Will make it quickly (I hope).

Event comments:

Nothing to compare to, but the event was well run and the area was beautiful. Didn't put much pressure on myself to go hard, just wanted to learn the ropes a bit. Next event will be a Sprint distance and will be close to the benchmark for me to start.
