High winds, driving rain, lots of standing water. I lead out my starting wave and didn't have anyone to draft so i just kept the legs turning over.

Event comments:

Breezy Point sprint triathlon turned into a 5K run - 20K bike - 100m dash due to the tropical storm blowing through. I didn't see any good reason to go out on the bike and risk taking a fall in the driving rain and 20-30mph winds so I lined up with my starting wave, ran a pretty hard 5K, and called it a day. Too bad the weather was so nasty. This is a popular local race with a fun party (beer & BBQ) after. I was looking forward to it because this happens to be the first triathlon I ever did back 4 years ago. Typically a good race but the weather killed it today.
