Comments: MOST DIFFICULT THING I HAVE EVER DONE, FELT LIKE QUITTING BEFORE THE FIRST BOUY, HONESTLY CANNOT BELIEVE I DIDN'T QUIT. WANTED TOO, VERY SCARED, THOUGH I WOULD DROWN. NEVER GOT ANY RHYTHM, NEVER USED MY SWIM TECHINQUES. THE WATER AND CHOP SEEMED TO DIFFICULT TO BE ABLE TO SWIM PROPERLY. SWAM WITH MY HEAD UP THE ENTIRE WAY. MAYBE USED PROPER TECHNIQUE 75 METERS MAX. THAT BEING SAID, I FINISHED, WHEN I GOT IN THE WATER THAT DID NOT SEEM POSSIBLE. What would you do differently?: TRY TO RELAX, USED THE TECHNIQUES I LEARNED, FORCE MYSELF THE SLOW DOWN. Transition 1
Comments: VERY SLOW IN TRANSITION DUE TO THE FACT I WAS NOT COUNTING ON BEING SO TIRED AND ALMOST BLURRY VISION/SURREAL FEELING. SHOULD BE BETTER NEXT TIME, WETSUIT WAS EASY OFF AND CLEANING FEET WAS QUICK, POWDER IN SHOES WORKED GREAT. TRIED TO WEAR MY BIKESHIRT FIRST AND THEN WORE MY RUNNING SHIRT. What would you do differently?: GET A LITTLE PACK ON THE BIKE TO HOLD MY TOOLS, NOT MUCH ELASE BECAUSE I WAS HAPPY TO BE OUT OF THE WATER, AND I WAS A LIITLE DISORIENTED. Bike
Comments: VERY TIRED WHEN I GOT OUT OF WATER, TOOK ME I WOULD GUESS ABOUT 5 MILES BEFORE I WAS COMFORTABLE AND THEN, HAD SOME SMALL ISSUES WITH CALF AND SHIN SPLINTS PAIN. AT MILE 10 I STARTED TO PICK IT UP A LITTLE, BUT NOT SIGNIFACNTLY. FIRST RACE STUFF. NOT SURE ABOUT COURSE AND WANTED TO FINISH What would you do differently?: PUSH IT HARDER, NEED TO TRAIN ON MORE HILLY CONDITIONS, LONGER HILLS. 140 COULD BE A GOOD OPTION. Transition 2
Comments: TRANSITOIN SLOW AGAIN, FORGOT TO UNTIE MY SHOES BEFORE RACE SO HAD TO UNTIE AND RETIE, WENT OUT BIKE TRANSTION INSTEAD OF RUN DOOR, PROBABLY WASTED 30 SECONDS DOING THAT What would you do differently?: VERY OBVIOUS, UNTIE SHOES, RELAX ON LAST PART OF BIKE AND GET READY MENTALLY FOR TRANSITION. Comments: PRETTY GOOD, I WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUR CALF CRAMPS, SHIN SPLINTS, BUT THEY NEVER DEVELOPED, I WAS SURPRISED THAT I WAS GOING AT A DECENT PACE, NOT TERRIBLY SLOW FOR THE CONDITIONS. HEART RATE WAS THRU THE ROOF WHEN I GOT OFF THE BIKE. WAITED TILL TURN AROUND TO KICK UP PACE. FOR ME I FEEL PRETTY GOOD WITH THE RUN PORTION What would you do differently?: PUSH IT EARLIER, FELT PRETTY GOOD, I KNOW NOW I CAN RUN 3 MILES NO PROBLEM. Post race

GOT UP AND OUT OF HOTEL AT 5:30AM, GOT TO RACE 3 MIN LATER, GOT GEAR WENT TO TRANSTION, STARTED TO UNPACK, VERY UNORGANIZED AND WAS EXTREMELY NERVOUS, HAD A HARD TIME JUST FOCUSING ON DRINKING SOME WATER. NEED TO BE MORE RELAXED, DID GOT TO BATHROOM EARLY ENOUGH TO MAKE IT BEFORE RACE TIME. VERY COOL AND DARK OUT VERY WINDY,
