2. Swim faster - I did not pace fast enough.

Tough, tough, tough for HIM. I did not know I would slow down so much. I had to walk for 10-30 seconds through every aid station every 2 miles on the run.
What would you do differently?:

Train much harder on the run.

Warm down:

kissed wife and kids and went for a swim.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

slowing down from ~9min/miles at the beginning to avg of 11.5 for 10+ miles.

Event comments:

first HIM and beat my goal time of 6 hours! Better on swim and bike than anticipated, worse on run.
