Swim
Comments: Was slower than expected...did 38 last year. I did not catch onto group very good and seemed all over the place. What would you do differently?: Train/Train/Train Transition 1
Comments: Nice tranistion start except did not read rules and did not know rule on shirt mandatory so had to retrack all the way back and put on bike shirt (2+ minutes wasted) as Had tought time with shirt and bike was a beginning of transition. Nice run in though What would you do differently?: Read the rules Bike
Comments: enjoyed the bike start and on 1st 20 miles looked like would easily be able to break 20mph aveage that I was gunning for (maybe a bit to hopefull) as still havn't done in Sprints. It took a toll as trhe 2nd half was tough and it seemed every turn I faced another head wind. But proud of myself for the finish expecially as long bike was 13 mike Sprint. What would you do differently?: Train/Train/Train and start a bit slower Transition 2
What would you do differently?: nothing specifically good or bad. So good ;-) Run
Comments: Got off bike and legs began to cramp right off the bat.. SO walked 1st mile trying to get enought fluids gel's and even a salt cap in to help. It did and I started running with breaks every station (probably longer than needed) but kept me going. Happy to finish and break 2:30. Now need to work on getting under 10min. miles for duration. Should be very plausable with proper training and nutrition. What would you do differently?: Again Training but happy with performance Post race
Warm down: Went to Magic Kindom with family. Made for a great but long day. Ashley's 1st trip to Magic Kingdom see had a ball. Small world, Poo, Dumbo, Carosel, Ariels water, Toon Town, Fireworks, Tea cups...what a day What limited your ability to perform faster: did not train so used as a confidence builder and a long training session. Did not get hurt or push too hard so all good. Very happy with performance Event comments: Great race...Now I just need to train so it is easier and I am not so slow. Looking forward to the season and the upcoming Ironman training. Will take easy week and start training next week. Last updated: 2007-05-17 12:00 AM
