Comments: Tried to start up towards the front on the outside so the current would take me towards the buoy. Still ended up with idiots in front who would come to a dead stop to site and people who couldn't hold a straight line to save there live. After the 2nd buoy I stayed left just to stay clear and had a great finish. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: Took a few seconds off last time, so I improvemed. What would you do differently?: Keep practicing to keep improving Bike
Comments: Wanted to push hard here knowing I may not be able to run very well. Passed a group of about 10 riders who were all drafting within the first mile. I was holding 24-25 at that point. Slowed it down knowing I wouldn't be able to hold that for very long. Just did my own thing for the entire race. Felt good. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Improved time here by 20 seconds. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Started out of T2 and my foot hurt so bad I though for a moment why do this. Almost DNF. Decided I am not a DNFer, and walking would be better. I pushed as hard as I could for as long as I could. Foot hurt for the entire 1st mile and then it started to get better. On the turn around it really starting feeling better. Wasn't great but I was able to pick up the pace and still be comfortable. Was able to finish strong but not pick anybody off. What would you do differently?: Not be injured Post race
Warm down: Walked around, gather with other BTers to watch others finish What limited your ability to perform faster: Injuries Event comments: Still a great small race. Last updated: 2007-05-27 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30, got a shower and a bagel with peanut butter, then drove the hour 15mins to the race site. Checked in and got body marked, set up transition and just hung out. Foot was hurting so I didn't want to do much of a warm up.
Did go knee keep into the water to see what it felt like.
