Swim
Comments: Hey! I did not drown on my first Olympic swim. I was so thrilled that they allowed wetsuits as I still have not faessed up and learned to swim. The distance did not tire me although my lack of form made me slow and probably hurt my overall race, but I was very happy anyway. What would you do differently?: As alwyas, learn to swim freestyle correctly. Transition 1
Comments: This was an great improvement on my transition time from last race. What would you do differently?: Continue to work on suit removal and getting right into socks for bike ride. Bike
Comments: The bike went well enough but the wind dstarted during my last loop and the cop paced me for a bit (I think he was trying to open the road even though there were bikers behind me still.) What would you do differently?: This was simply a matter of being last wave to start and slow on the swim. I had my best bike to date so I am not complaining too much. Transition 2
Comments: This was a simple and easy transition that realy went ok overall. What would you do differently?: General experience with each race continues to improve my transitions Run
Comments: Tuckered guy by now and walked the hills (shame Jer!) However, did wear the iPod for company and was smaked on the back side by the hottest girl there so the run was another positive point to the day. What would you do differently?: Need to train in a manner that I still have energy after 3.5 hours or improve swim enough that I am not out there so long that I get lazy. Post race
Warm down: General hydration and cool down walking. What limited your ability to perform faster: Swim Event comments: I finished my first Olympic distance race!!! Last updated: 2007-05-29 12:00 AM

General stretching (then alot of visiting with those I know at the event and watching the waves ahead of me start.)
Too little and not enough focused stretching other than the right arm.
