Post race
Event comments: As the name implies this is the Horribly Hilly Hundreds. I did the 100k. It was supposed to be shortened by four miles but my bike computer reads that I completed 64 miles. I will have to make sure it is calibrated correctly. I could not believe the number of people riding triathlon/TT bikes. They have to be insane. I was going downhill on one portion doing 46 mph and a guy passed me in the aero position as if I was standing still. It was pretty much straight where we were but I had an oh shit moment watching him. I really liked this ride. The first half of the ride is alright. Not to bad. I did really good on the hills. I kept a high cadence and just worked my way up the hills. I would pass people on the climbs and then they would pass me on the downhills because I was to much of a chicken shit to do over 40 mph. They had two rest stops on the 100k. Plenty of food and drink. Several water stations out on the course as well. There are several of these types of rides around this area throughout the spring, summer and fall. I am definitley going to try to do more of these throughout the years. I just had a ton of fun. I sat outside a bar waiting for the start of the ride.
I rode down from the campground where we park and finish into town to the starting area
