Total Time = 1h 35m 4s
Overall Rank = 575/800
Age Group = 25-29
Age Group Rank = 46/49
Pre-race routine:

I dragged myself out of bed and threw everything together wishing that I could talk myself out of it. I hadn't been able to train in the last couple weeks due to travel with work so if I could even complete the Tri today I would be happy.
Event warmup:

walking from the car to the race site, I did stretch before the swim to make sure everything was loose, oh and I did a couple quick laps in the lake to get used to the water
Swim
  • 14m 9s
  • 549 meters
  • 02m 35s / 100 meters
Comments:

This could or could not be my true swim times. You see someone else had my chip and I got a "replacement" except for when it was all said and done they weren't sure what my times were. For this race report I will go ahead and use all the numbers they provided at Atomic racing however I believe my true swim time to be better than this by about 2 minutes if my watch was correct.
What would you do differently?:

start further inside the group, I had to wait a couple times rather than swimming over guys and then once I couldn't wait anymore and I had to split in between two guys who were either trying to draft each other (side by side) or maybe they were just swimming and holding hands.
Transition 1
  • 03m 2s
Comments:

I was lost when I got to transition and the latex swim cap they provided had cut off circulation to my brain. I was not happy with this over all transistion.
Bike
  • 38m 18s
  • 11 miles
  • 17.23 mile/hr
Comments:

need to ride my damn bike more...no excuses
Transition 2
  • 00m 49s
Comments:

This was a good transition for me...Megan (my g/f) was yelling for me to get my race number on...i had my belt on but it was turned around during the bike section. So I turned it back and when she saw that she switched to yelling at me to move faster...lol...it was funny.
Run
  • 38m 33s
  • 3 miles
  • 12m 51s  min/mile
Comments:

this is my biggest area for improvement, though I wasn't as ready for the tri in total this was by far the one thing that could have really improved my time if I could just work on it more
What would you do differently?:

really keep up with my run practices
Post race
Warm down:

walking to the car

What limited your ability to perform faster:

work and travel in the month before the tri

Event comments:

Although not as good in my opinion as Lonestar this was a nice course that I would love to do again.
