Pre-race routine:

Arrive early 1.5 hrs, register set up transition area, do a walk around with brother to show him how everything works etc

1.5 km run with Alex followed by a 100mtr swim to warm up some stretching

Good transition tried shoes with no socks and elastic laces ... great was a bit awkward with the suit need to practice it more

Felt like a tough slow run I thought I was doing aweful saw my son ahead and focused on trying to catchhim so I pushed it up a bit. Turned out it was one of my best runs, run is still my weakest but improving markedly

Warm down:

walked off the event drank water watched for my daughter and brother to finish.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

It was a very hectic week with my play performing and I got very little sleep for the 3 nights leading up to the race so I was not at my best, avoid doublingup like that again.

Still my favorite venue and Trisport does a great job
