  • Comments: Coming into the race, my hope was to finish in about 1 hour. In hindsight, I forgot about time for transition in that time, so 1:05 is basically what I was expecting. My swim time was a little longer that I was hoping for, but my bike and run times were in line with what I have been seeing in my training. For my first event, I was impressed with the organization. Always had a good idea of what the next step was ans where to be at any moment. Enjoyed the overall event immensely.

  • Comments: MAGIC! This was an incredible day. I think I'm still in a state of shock over what happened. Doing this race was absolutely the right call. I came in to slay some dragons and have fun, no other agenda. I not only did that but came home with a plaque as well. I was so happy to do this in front of Caleb and Esther, seeing them several times. As a bonus, Caleb got a water bottle in draw prizes which made him happy. This was SO sweet!! Praise God for His blessings and good gifts, this one is HUGE and means a LOT to me...THANK YOU Lord!!

  • Comments: Great first race! Did it in under an hour, and my goal was 1:10. Very pleased with myself. Need to cut 5 minutes or so off my time, to place better.

  • Comments: Definitely a good race. Definitely felt like the swim beat me but I did get through my first tri!! Too bad it was so rainy out. We might have stayed for the raffle and such but being soaked out at a conservation area wasn't something we wanted to do for any longer than we had to.

  • Comments: This was overall a good race. I was well prepared for it although I could have done better once it started. I need to concentrate while in the race to make sure I don't go all out at the beginning. I need to enjoy the swim more.

  • Comments: I have done one HSBC and one Subaru. Like the fact that HSBC breaks out transitions for try-a-tri and they also seem to give better award prizes and much better draw prizes.

  • Comments: Gret venue lots of people, well organized and run. water was calm not unpleasant for a man made lake. road coarse was good not alot of turns lots of straight sections.
