As poor as I did I was happy to get through the swim and it was the best i eve did in a swim.
What would you do differently?:

Use anti fog. after rounding the buoy, swim directly to the next one. do not try to stay to the right. learn to breath on left some.
Transition 1

Comments:

I though I did good but the time says otherwise.
What would you do differently?:

I will try earing my shirt under my wet suit and filling my pockets afterwards. maybe hustle a little more but felt i got through fairly fast.
I did take some double check time.

wasted time double checking

  • 13.1 miles
  • 11m 34s  min/mile
Comments:

Really can't believe I did it. Thank god for the cloud cover and the relatively low heat.
What would you do differently?:

More miles in the bank.
Post race
Warm down:

hug my wife and kids and lay on the ground

What limited your ability to perform faster:

With young kids it is difficult to justify training time. Even though they are a big reason I started doing Tris, I can't just be gone all the time. I've been training for a year and a half. Before that I was an obese dove bar sucking arm chair movie critic. Being 44. There were those who were older and I couldn't catch most of them but age is an undeniable limiting factor.

Event comments:

Just a great race! Tough but great! I loved it!!!!!!!!

I ordered another one for later in the run but it only came out of garden hoses. Still nice though, thank you garden hose sprayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
