Swim
Comments: Started in front line... narrow path between dock & shore made it rough! Lots of kicks, elbows, splashing. didn't find my stroke until 5 minutes in. Was surprised my time was as good as it was. What would you do differently?: Start further to the outside. Was glad I was on the front line, but being center of pack made it tough Transition 1
Comments: My best T1 to date! The suit came off flawlessly and didn't get hung up on my feet. Shoes went on quick and off to the races. What would you do differently?: can't think of anything... run faster? How did the winner do that in :57? Bike
Comments: I felt strong on the bike leg, but could have done better. Time was good, but was expecting more after strong bike performance at Pacific Crest. What would you do differently?: Pushing harder on the small up hill grades... felt slow, around 18 mph Transition 2
Comments: Felt very fast - jumped right off bike, racked it, and got shoes on quick. What would you do differently?: Nothing! Run
Comments: I felt really good during the run, but my time was disappointing... need to be under 8 minute miles! I felt great at the end of the race - could have pushed harder.... 93rd overall going into the run, but 25 minute 5k droppped me to 148th. What would you do differently?: push harder to get time down to 7:30 mile pace Post race
Event comments: Fun race, well organized... started right on time, which waas nice. Biggest race I've done with # of participants. Post race grub was bananas & oranges - blah, but Jamba Juice saved the day. Last updated: 2007-07-17 12:00 AM
