Swim
Comments: No panic this time, but still reverting to side paddle on swims. Short time on backstroke, not becuase tired, but breating at elevation issues in beginning. What would you do differently?: Need to learn to freestyle before next race. Transition 1
Comments: Spent too much time worrying about the gravel getting out of the water and the pavement getting to the bike. Time would have been better spent removing my wetsuit. What would you do differently?: Need to focus on crossing the timiming mats quickly no matter the conditions. Bike
Comments: Road with the back tire slightly low. Need to have tire gage before next race to insure fully inflated. What would you do differently?: Need to insure tires are fully inflated. Need to spend more of bike time in areo position. Transition 2
Comments: Overall an average transition. What would you do differently?: Need to dismount at last possible moment, run bike in to transition area, and change shooes quicker. Run
Comments: Did not pace this well at all. Almost 2 minute slower than normal pace What would you do differently?: Need to push harder in the run. Was not tired at the end of race so must not have given it my all. Should have found someone infront of me that was running at a pace that I typically run and kept up. Post race
Warm down: Continued wlaking while rest of ESCKTC finished race. Some mellon and Vit water. What limited your ability to perform faster: My mind was too focused on the breathing issues and not paying enough attention to the actual race. Event comments: I did improve in all but the run and overall it was a very fun race for me. I think that the issues were in personal performance and not the race at all. However, the race organizers should really lay down and indoor/outdoor carpet between the end of the swim and the transition area. Last updated: 2007-07-24 12:00 AM
