almost went the wrong way once b/c the cop was waving traffic on, but there wasn't anyone waving racers on...the guy in front of me went the wrong way - i turned at the last minute out of instinct..thank goodness b/c that guy was supposed to turn! whoops! One of the girls I was riding with at the end for a while popped her tire with about 1/2 mile to go - felt so bad for her!!
What would you do differently?:

started off by running up a grass hill...not so fun, but cool...ran through the trails, along the water, through the woods, on the sand...through the trails...and last, and a pain in the ass...the last stretch on the sand....i saw a guy who had already finished up ahead and he was cheering for what i thought was everyone...then i realized he was cheering for the girl behind me...in spanish...to hurry up so she could pass me....ha ha...i don't think so buddy...i was hurting...but i freekin booked it all the way to the end....turned around after i caught my breath and she was nowhere in sight...haha!!

Course: I think my pace was in the 16's...beggin to get a little faster...course was a little hilly - one long incline that took the wind out of me - but i passed a bunch of people on the way up so at least i had a smile on my face and i didn't topple over - which i was afraid of!!
