Swim
Comments: Not bad considering the lack of time I put in the pool this year. Only a few seconds slower than last year. What would you do differently?: Learn to swim correctly and practice. Transition 1
Comments: Estimated time, couldn't have been much more than this. What would you do differently?: Nothing. No hurry here, slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Bike
Comments: About a minute slower than last year, having to haul extra girth up those little hills. Still, not too bad. What would you do differently?: Be in better shape. Transition 2
Comments: Time estimated again. This one went OK as well. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Foot hurt from the start, still not bad considering I've run only once since June (RiverCities) and barely run at all this year. Almost three minutes slower than last year. What would you do differently?: Train? Got to get over this PF. Post race
Warm down: Had some water and cookies, then walked back to the start, loaded up gear and rode bike back to finish and the car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Injury which has kept me from running. Event comments: Good race, brings out a lot of first-timers. Lose points this year because they didn't have any jambalaya. Third year in a row I won my AG, not many in it this year and one guy faster than me won the overall masters, so was taken out of the AG. Wake, coffee and bagels, shower, shave, drive to CajunDome. Parked at finish and rode bike to start, 3/4 miles away.
Rode 4 miles on the bike just to get the blood going.
