Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 530. Got to race venue bout 630. It was the closet drive to a race ive ever had. But the directions off the website had you turning down a road that had already been closed for the race. so that was a no go..Had to find alternate way. But on a good note no Speeding Ticket this time. WOO HOO
Event warmup:

Set up and stretched..Then went for a quick swim in the lake. The water was discusting. The water smelled and had plant life growing to the top

Again water was nasty...After the race i had rash on both fore arms from hitting the plants on the last bit of swim...Almost lost my watch

Got feet on top of shoes ok..but when bring the left foot out and on top some how i managed to lift my right completely off the shoe/pedal..snagged the shoe on the groud..Looked like a total newbee.

Pretty good run..had more in me..but still learning how hard i can push it. The finish line was hidden around a corner so i only got a 20yd sprint to the finish..if i knew it was right there..i would have taken off earlier

Visited the beer tent for miller light and strethced..and water/gatorade and some food

Good race except for the water. Post race activities were good..Had bands Lots of free stuff to try. Some good times. I didnt place but Mags got 3rd in Athena...Go Her!!

Course: Out and back. It was a tread water start..Was pretty funny watching some of the guy go out and tread water for 5 min btw the waves...No way i was wasting my enerty.

Course: it was a rectangle in downtown orlando ..nice course..very straight. They had a "no passing zone" were the bikes and runners were using the same path. the distance on that was about 1/2 mile...Total joke...not going to let other get bigger lead bc someone infront was going to slow.
