Comments: The first half was way too slow. I picked up the pace in the 2nd half. I had only trained for the triathlon for 2 weeks, so I am not used to running right after two events. A time of 27+ minutes is not good in my book...I am used to 22 minutes or less. So, I have room for major improvement. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: I was riding a mountain bike instead of a racing bike. That will change with next year's races. I will be training this winter, especially swimming. I hope that helps with the overall physical readiness for the future. Event comments: I enjoyed this race. It was my first tri, so I have nothing to compare against, but they seemed very organized and enthusiastic. I had a lot of fun talking with volunteers and other contestants. The information about competing and good stories flowed. Great race. Last updated: 2007-08-28 12:00 AM

Made the decision 2 weeks before this race to enter. Trained hard for two weeks before the race. I have never swam competively before, so that was my weakest link. Still training after the race, and learning the right form for breathing.
Just stretching and making sure I was hydrated. Put my equipment in a good place for transitions.
