Pre-race routine:

I didn't want to drive early in the morning to the race site, so we stayed in a cheap hotel right in front of the Kapiolani Park. I couldn’t sleep well because of very loud AC. My husband woke me up around 4:00am. I was very nervous.
Event warmup:

Great thing if you don't have to worry looking for parking. just walk with my bike from the hotel accross the street. Found the good place to set up my transition.
I was a little worried about my injured inner thigh. I was training for my first marathon at the same time, I injured by over training.

I felt a pain in my inner thigh. Couldn't run faster. It was ok run considering my injury.

Event comments:

I wish we could have swim part. But, I understand that they couldn't risk it. We usually get box jelly fish 10 days after full moon. Even we couldn't see them, if there were just one out there and someone who was allagic to it got stung, it could be really bad.
