  • Comments: I love this race! I find it more competitive than the coed races I have done. The women in my age group are very tough chicks! There were 12 of us from Kauai, we all had a great time and some came home with hardware. It was gratifying to see my friend who always wanted to do a tri, she was struggling with the swim and pushed through her fears and kept at it and is now hooked!

  • Comments: This is my second time at this race. It is cool that it is all women. I think it helps get more women out there for their first. The race director runs triathlon training workshops, she is a fun motivating person. There are also two other options super sprint, and duathalon. Went into this race with no intention of placing since we were a two person relay not three. First place was a three person team who beat us by one minute, the third place team was also two person we beat them by one second!

  • Comments: Fun race. I like that it's an all women's event. The atmosphere was great, and very supportive.

  • Comments: I wish we could have swim part. But, I understand that they couldn't risk it. We usually get box jelly fish 10 days after full moon. Even we couldn't see them, if there were just one out there and someone who was allagic to it got stung, it could be really bad.

  • Comments: where the hell was the finish water station. I came into the finish line about to curl up into a ball in pain and I could`nt find any water. The guy who took my timing chip off was running around asking where the water was. Finally I was directed up to the water table...50meters away and up stairs...were they serious!? I managed to get up there and drank as much as I could. The spread was nice with delicious snacks from Jamba Juice, fruit and other yummy things. Massage was offered for a 5min free one, I just didn`t want to wait in line. Next time it`s a run-bike-run I think I`ll waiver it to the following year, just not my cup of tea. Plus, the first 'mile' run had to have been longer than one mile! Not sure who measured it. Other than all that, had a great time, enjoyed myself and learnt alot once again.

  • Comments: I think we could have done the swim, there wasn't even any signs posted and there were lots of swimmers in the water. They should have decided on the night before and had us warned one way or the other! I am a stronger swimmer than I am a runner!!!!! It was fun to meet up with fellow BT'er "Tizzy" she was a great help and very encouraging the last few weeks leading up to the race!
