Swim
Comments: The water did not seem much warmer than the air. I had real difficulty breathing and felt constricted the whole time. The result was not as bad as I felt. What would you do differently?: Just need to learn to swim w/ decent technique. That should be easy, right? Transition 1
Comments: As usual one of the slowest in T-1 for the people that finish with comparable times. I spend a lot of time catching my breath and getting my bearings after the swim. What would you do differently?: I need to hustle and push it. Bike
Comments: This is always my best part of the race. In this particular race the first by 3D at this location there were problems with traffic, backups etc. It became dangerous at times either hitting gravel on the right side of cars or heading into the center of the road. Besides those areas I moved pretty well. My computer was not working so I did not know the cadence but I think I am getting a good feel for 85+. What would you do differently?: Make sure the computer works Transition 2
Comments: Could have gone a little faster but I am usually pretty happy with a minute or so in T-2 Run
Comments: Feet were completely frozen for at least half the run. I got passed by 4 guys in the last quarter mile which doesn't usually happen but I had nothing left to hold them off. I was hoping for 7:30's by the end of the season but besides one race where I think the distance was off never got there. What would you do differently?: I need to run more. When I started doing tris I thought running would be my best event but too many LBs and too little miles logged. I have a month or so til the Detroit 1/2 marathon so I plan on running 3 days per week to prepare which may help. Post race
Warm down: Some stretching, walking and eating What limited your ability to perform faster: Travel and beer drinking the last few weeks has been in the way of a few workouts. The coldest tri (at least at the start) by far I have ever done. Event comments: I gave the race a 3 becasue of the bike problems. I really don't like getting stopped or virtually stopped on the bike. Hopefully next year the traffic issues can be addressed. Post race food and volunteers were great. Despite all my complaining in this report I am fairly happy with my results of 1st in clyde and 2nd in AG (a bit of a fluke)and overall of 28th was cool. I just know I can do better in all three events (and T-1,2). Last tri of the year - bummer. Last updated: 2007-09-17 12:00 AM

Up a little later than normal thanks to the 9 am start. Temp outside per my Mountaineer said 36 degrees! Ate a banana, protien bar and listened to some tunes on the way. Then got set up and stood around in the cold - talking about how cold it was.
None - the swim is my warmup.
