Swim
Comments: swim was a disaster, I've been swimming great at swim lessons, do laps fine and not have any problems. I completely got pummeled though by swimmers, kicked, swum on, you name it, I couldn't get my heart rate down. I swallowed so much water. Swim was terrible. What would you do differently?: Work on openwater swimming, and somhow swimming with a group. Transition 1
Comments: times aren't up, but my transitions were good!!! What would you do differently?: I forgot my race number for the bike portion.... Bike
Comments: Ok bike, hills were tough, I got a sticker caught in my spokes and had to stop. Saw the aftermath of a bad crash ( that freaked me out!) Overall average performance.... What would you do differently?: work on hills, quite a few hills, and I'm still not comfortable going fast downhill.... Transition 2
Comments: good transition! Very fast! What would you do differently?: Had a little trouble getting bike on rack. Run
Comments: I passed a lot of people on the run, I feel comfortable running, I really wanted a sub 1 hour, just didn't happen, legs were dead after the bike. First 5k was around 35 minutes, second was 25!! What would you do differently?: Not talk to people? I slowed down a few times to talk to people during the run, o well, made it fun though! Post race
Warm down: walking around What limited your ability to perform faster: swim! KILLED my time! Event comments: they said there would be gu on the run, but they must have run out, that was really disappointing! I was anticipating a gu!
