Swim
Comments: Got just a little left of course on the first leg, but caught myself before getting too far off. What would you do differently?: Not much....I felt really good about my swim. More training in the wetsuit maybe.....Need to get a coach for help with my form. Transition 1
Comments: Took my time here to make sure I had everything for the bike. I did put on bike shorts over my trisuit for comfort. Took a gel and some water before heading out. What would you do differently?: Not too much. Bike
Comments: The first half of the race I averaged 19.33 MPH. This was a great pace for me. The second half of the ride I got a very painful "crick" in my left shoulder. I am talking about shooting pain if I moved a certain direction. It was very hard to get into the aero bars. My MPH dropped significantly (16.7 MPH) We also had a good headwind on the second half of the ride. Needed some extra gels for the ride...only had 1 plus the one I took at T1 Sunglasses may have caused the crick...not use to riding with them. What would you do differently?: More gels, more time in the saddle. Find out about crick in the neck Transition 2
Comments: Good T2 for me....took my time and REMEMBER RACE BELT THIS TIME What would you do differently?: Not much Run
Comments: GREAT RUN FOR ME...Left knee started getting sore as expected around 6 mile mark....then the left achilles....Would have made sub 2 Hours if I didn't have to stop and go #1 NEVER STOPPED RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What would you do differently?: Work on stretching to get more healthy. Work on pace just a bit more Post race
Warm down: WHATS THAT? Tent Shower What limited your ability to perform faster: Training and bike leg (crick) Event comments: GREAT RACE...wish they had gels on the bike leg Last updated: 2007-10-01 12:00 AM
