Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4:30 am, ate oatmeal and drank coffee, had to run around a little because gas station was closed (no hot water or coffee there)
Event warmup:

None really, but this was the first race that I felt like I really had time to get everything set up in transistion; and I wasn't rushed to the start
Swim
  • 30m 46s
  • 2112 yards
  • 01m 28s / 100 yards
Comments:

Overall, I thought I had a great swim
Transition 1
  • 01m 22s
Comments:

went well considering I had to remove a wetsuit, but I can still get faster
Bike
  • 2h 42m 3s
  • 56 miles
  • 20.73 mile/hr
What would you do differently?:

pace myself starting out so that I'd have more energy on the way back
Transition 2
  • 01m 35s
Run
  • 1h 25m 42s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 06m 32s  min/mile
Comments:

overall, it was a good run. started out flying, but had to pull back a little bit so as to avoid typical lactic threshold digestive issues. It helped me keep a good pace though
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Headwind, lactic threshold of digestive track, less training that I would've liked in the month prior

Event comments:

Overall, another great race!
