Comments: Did not rush the start and just kept swimming through traffic. Didn't try to race anyone and didn't stop if I bumped into people. Kept breathing every 2 strokes and staid consistant. Breathing every 2 stokes kept me slower, but not stopping at all gave me a good time. What would you do differently?: Practice breathing every 3-5 strokes. ![]() Transition 1

Comments: Need to put shoes on first because of strap system. Maybe invest in some triathlon shoes. Draft legal course. Hooked up with a big group and rode with them. What would you do differently?: Continue drafting and try not to waste extra energy pulling the pack. ![]() Transition 2

Comments: first 1.5 miles my legs were real heavy from the bike. Didn't start getting into a groove until after the turn. Was getting passed often on the run. What would you do differently?: save a little energy on the bike for the run. Need to practice my run pace. ![]() Post race
Warm down: walked around for 5-10 mins and light stretch What limited your ability to perform faster: breathing to often on the swim, trying to pull early on the bike, slight cramp on the run. Event comments: They had a beer tent at the end. Although the idea of it was great, the reality didn't taste as good. To tired to drink! :) Race was personal best so I was extremely happy. Ate a granola bar, banana and some gatorade. Picked up Keiko around 7:15 and was at the course around 7:30. Got a rack and setup gear.
