  • Comments: Although I was not happy with my rank, I was just glad to finish. There were about a dozen DNF pulled out of the water. This was my very first triathlon and a lot of fun. I think I will keep doing them.

  • Comments: Was a little disappointed that they were handing out awards when I finished -- there's always kind of a thrill when you hear your name called out crossing the finish line. I think perhaps they might have waited a bit longer. Otherwise, it is a really nice race. I plan to do it again next year.

  • Comments: They had a beer tent at the end. Although the idea of it was great, the reality didn't taste as good. To tired to drink! :) Race was personal best so I was extremely happy. Shot for 1:35:00 and beat it by 7 mins :)

  • Comments: I found the transitions to be aweful for such a easy course. Too many obstacles that were not ony extremely challenging but unsafe. All finishers were very lucky to recieved a bottled water, sorry no gatorade or powerade, or anything else for that matter. What was touted as an expo was a few abandoned booths. I have seen alot better races. As far as my race went, I am happy wth my performance, I feel like I have too much to learn. It is amazing how everything has to be perfect on a sprint race, there is no room to make up time. It was a great learning experience for me but I choose to skip this race from now on.

  • Comments: Last year there was an elite division and I finished 6th in my age group. This year, no elite, took 5 minutes off my time and still finished 6th. I'm happy with this considering the competition and my state of mind but it was a little disappointing.

  • Comments: I didn't use any volunteer aid stations. All fuel taken in on the bike.
