Comments: I didn't beat Oprah!! A little disappointed, but I did my best, considering the hills. I had a blast, the couse was beautiful! I PR"D by 24 minutes!!!! WOOOT!!!! In 4 months I went from 4:57 ( flat course) , to 4:33, something is working for me! What would you do differently?: Do long runs with hills, don't walk in the last 4 miles, maybe do a 22 miler. Post race
Warm down: Went to TNT tent, and ate, cheered on other finishers and waited for my mom. What limited your ability to perform faster: taper could have been better, I had a tight groin muscle in the 2 weeks leading to the race and was really concerned about that. go to the bathrrom, go back in line, go to the bathroom go back in line, eat 1/2 a banana, then find the 4:30 pace group. Gave my dad and bro a hug and was off!
I wanted the st few miles to be the warm-up.
