Run
Comments: I was hoping to beat my last half marathon that was 2:21 but two weeks prior to the race I became sick. So, with not working out for two weeks I feel I did pretty well. The first 4 miles were going well and wanted to keep a slower pace. I left Paul before heading into Fort Story, I decided to walk during the water breaks, realizing walking hurt more than running kept trying to run. The last 3 miles killed me, everything hurt. The one good thing that I feel came out of this race was I mentally pushed myself harder than I every have so I hope this will come in handy during Columbia. Walking through the finish line I felt I had so much stuff to carry and trying to get warm. Waited for Paul to finish, Paul didn't do so well post race so we waited for him to feel a little better and walked back to the car. What would you do differently?: Make sure not to get sick and not workout for two weeks before hand. Post race
Warm down: All I can say I hurt sooo much. Went back to the hotel and relaxed tried to take a nap and than went to luch. Event comments: This race was well run. Enjoyed all the volunteers, would consider doing again Last updated: 2007-11-06 12:00 AM

Slept horrible the past two nights. Woke up at one point feeling sick, finally got up at 5:30 thinking it would be enough time to get to the race, Paul had bathroom issues. At part of a cliff bar on the way to race, thought I might be sick. We parked what we thought was far away but it was actually right near the finish line which saved us later on.
Our warm-up was walking to the start with 2 minutes to spare on the start. Not that it mattered since we were in the back and waited another 7 to 8 minutes to actually run.
