Run
Comments: Challenging course. Had a huge blister from trainging run in my combat boots. Would have liked some water on the course. It started heating up and I started to get a little dehydrated. I love a challenge and this course had it. I loved the military style obstacles. What would you do differently?: Not wear boots before race day. Stash a water bottle on course. Bring recovery drink. Post race
Warm down: Walked around looking for something to drink and the girl that had my car keys. What limited your ability to perform faster: The obstacles. Event comments: They had to change the venue from previous years. All things considered they put on a good run. I was shocked by the number of individuals and teams that ran this race. A few things that bothered me: No water on the course at all. Since it was an out and back 1 aid station would have been sufficient. You would pass it twice! Not too hard to figure that out. No electrolyte replacement drinks post race. They had water, monster energy drink and miller lite. I love beer as much as the next guy, but without water on the course I would have given an arm and a leg for some gatorade. Not enough volunteers on the course. Some of us had to run a little farther because the course was confusing at times. Nobody handing out penalty flags. Guys finishing ahead of me in the overall that completely skipped obstacles after the turnaround. Don't get me wrong... I had a blast. I will do this again next year, but a few changes will make this an even better event. Last updated: 2007-11-13 12:00 AM

Got up and had oatmeal with peanut butter, gatorade and water.
Stood around. Didn't want to run too much prior. I had a huge blister on my foot that I didn't want to aggravate.
