Run
Comments: This was a good run for me. I finished the first mile right at 8:00 minutes. Mile 2 I felt slower, but hit the marker at 7:58 or so. Last mile I tried to pick it up, but didn't feel I had much left, so I just found a rythm. Must have been faster because my ave. was in the 7s. Plus it is mostly downhill to the finish. What would you do differently?: Bring water to drink. They had one water station at mile 2, but it was so cold. I think I would have sipped water if I had it with me. Post race
Warm down: Jogged to my car and headed home. It was too cold to hang around all sweaty. Plus I had a bird to cook. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Cold??? Nothing really. This is one of my fastest 5k in Colorado and I felt good on a hilly course. Event comments: This is a good race if your looking to avoid the crazyness of Wash Park and the 7500 people that did that race. I was since I hate crowds. :) Also, I really do like this course even though it is mostly uphill. Last updated: 2007-11-19 12:00 AM
