  • Comments: This was another Racing Underground event. They always do a great job...no complaints at all! Really appreciate all the volunteers at the race. it was freezing!!

  • Comments: WTF? Race started on time? Packet pickup a breeze? Just need to widen the start and this race will be nearly perfect.

  • Comments: This is a good race if your looking to avoid the crazyness of Wash Park and the 7500 people that did that race. I was since I hate crowds. :) Also, I really do like this course even though it is mostly uphill.

  • Comments: I do think the course was long, but overall I like this race and they do a good job organizing it. It's nice having a race on the south side of town! I really appreciate all the volunteers for showing up and working in the sub-freezing temp! I would have liked to meet some of the BT'rs that also ran, but I didn't see anyone in BT gear. And after, it was just too cold to hang out in my sweaty clothes and try to be social.

  • Comments: This was the most disorganized race I've participated in. The race started a half hour late and people were so tired of standing around in the cold wind ... we just wanted to run and get home to our turkey dinner. Then they screwed up the first place finisher, announcing the wrong name, thank goodness this person was not there to accept the medal. Several people brought it to the attention of the official timing company and after a half hour squabble the medal was finally given to the deserving young man who earned it. This was a chip timed race but there wasn't a mat to track the starting time ... just the finishing time ... what's up with that ... and the official time for me is not the time that was showing on the clock when I hit the mat. It took so long to gather the data for the awards ceremony that only a handful of people were even left in the area. Next year I'll do the Mile Hi Turkey Trot which benefits needy families.
